SOLDANELLE SET FOR OPENING DAY AT ASCOT

11 October 2023

On the opening day at Ascot Racecourse, this Saturday, October 14th, all eyes will be on Soldanelle, a promising four-year-old mare. Soldanelle, the stable's first French import, has been steadily building momentum this prep, delivering solid performances but falling short of victory.

In her most recent outing, Soldanelle showcased her resilience, running a gutsy race despite facing adversity. Jockey Steven Parnham navigated through a challenging race, highlighting the mare's potential. It's evident that Soldanelle is on the cusp of claiming her first victory on Australian soil.

Saturday marks the first day of what promises to be an exciting season of racing at Ascot Racecourse for Vahala Racing Stables as we see some familiar athletes return to the track in Lord Lala, What About Moi and Olajuwon.

Furthermore, the stable is thrilled to introduce the next generation of stars. Three-year-old Doctor Jay is nearing his debut, promising to add to the excitement of the season. Additionally, the stable has acquired five talented two-year-olds from the 2023 Yearling sales. These young prospects are gearing up for their debut, with hopes of targeting 2YO races throughout the spring and summer months.

As the racing season kicks off at Ascot, anticipation runs high, and all eyes are on Soldanelle for Vahala Racing Stables. With a blend of experienced racers and promising newcomers, this season promises to deliver thrilling action and exciting prospects for racing enthusiasts.
