Promising 3YO Lord Lala and stable star Aztec Ruler have produced a double for Vahala Racing Stables taking out Races 2 and 3 at Belmont on Saturday.
Lord Lala shot out of the gates in Race 2 at Belmont before putting 5 lengths on the chasing pack as he turned for home.
With Steven Parnham on board, Lord Lala would hold on to win the 3YO Plate ahead of Dialling and talented filly Augment.
With a race to race double in site for Vahala Racing Stables, there was none better than star galloper Aztec Ruler to be up next.
Jockey Chris Parnham would settle Aztec Ruler carrying top weight of 60kgs almost 10 lengths off the pace as the favourite may have had a few punters concerned.
However, At the 400m Aztec Ruler would make his moved and charge down the pack to win by 1.5L to Ponyo in another impressive display.
Trainer Stefan Vahala was thrilled with the performance of both horses taking out the stables first Saturday double.
Lord Lala will now head out for a short freshen up and be back in work in time for some of the Summer Riches while Aztec Ruler heads towards the $100,000 Tabtouch Stakes where he will be tested over 1600m for the first time.
