It was an actioned packed Saturday at Belmont Park for Vahala Racing Stables with 3 runners including two imports for their Australian debut.
Lord Lala, a 3YO Gelding hailing from the illustrious lineage of Deep Field made his long-awaited debut since arriving from New Zealand. Lord Lala showcased his mettle in the 1200m - Amelia Park Plate. Galloping amidst quality competition, he demonstrated great promise, securing a commendable 4th place finish. Guided by the skillful hands of jockey Laqdar Ramoly, Lord Lala's first appearance left Trainer Stefan Vahala beaming with satisfaction. The lessons gleaned from this debut will undoubtedly prove invaluable as the Gelding continues his racing journey..
The seasoned French import Soldanelle then made her Australian debut in the 1400m – Morley Growers Market Handicap. Having raced against listed company in France including a win at 2150m; the 5YO mare was solid at the shorter distance but found three better and came home in fourth. The performance will provide a strong platform for Soldanelle as she improves her fitness aiming to challenge some of Perth’s best stayers as she progresses towards the 2km mark.
