AZTEC RULER GALLOPS TO VICTORY

Aztec Ruler is back on the winners list after taking out the The Quayclean 1400m (72+) at Belmont park on Saturday afternoon. The well deserved victory comes after a frustrating prep so far which included two 2nd's and a 4th over a three race span riddled with bad luck.
In what was his most convincing win so far against the toughest field he has faced; jockey Chris Parnham had little to do over the last 400m as he and Aztec Ruler coasted to a comfortable victory.
Trainer Stefan Vahala and connections were thrilled to get the first win of the prep in the books as they now look toward building momentum into September.
