On the 10th of August, a defining moment unfolded as the 4-year-old mare, Allegro Sonata, surged across the finish line at Northam, securing her long-awaited triumph in the 1600m - Struck Oil Maiden race.
Building upon a series of promising performances in her third preparation, including notable 2nd and 4th placements in her recent races, this resplendent mare showcased her prowess and determination. It became evident that she had discovered her true calling at the 1600m distance, as she surged forward with strength to claim a well-deserved victory.
She will now look for suited races closer to home at Belmont Park as she continues in her development and matures into a solid racehorse.
